Bolton Wanderers Football Club
This club based in a town called Horich was founded in 1874 by Rev. John Farrall Wright in 1874 under the name “Christ Church FC”; it was then changed later to Bolton Wanderers in the year 1877.
Even though Bolton have not seen as much success as there rivals in the Premier League they were quite a flourishing cup side in the 1920’s where they won the F.A Cup 3 times. Other honours include 4 FA Cups, 3 Second Division/First Division titles and 1 FA Charity Shield.
Bolton Wanderers has seen many highs and lows through its history; decline and recovery being its main theme over the years. At one point the club was all the way down in Division 4 but then begun a slow climb back through the divisions, which eventually led them back up to the Premier League in 1995. Even though the club were relegated the following season, they have now cemented a place in the Premiership ever since 2001.
Bolton’s kit has primarily been white shirts with some small navy detail, accompanied with navy shorts and white socks. However, Bolton have experimented with quite a few different kits in the past. Most notably, when they first were formed they tried wearing white shirts with red spots in 1884. Additionally, Bolton have also once experimented with an “all-white” kit in 1970.
