Blackburn Rovers Football Club
They are a club based in Blackburn, Lancashire and were founded in 1875 by Arthur Constantine and John Lewis. Blackburn Rovers is a very well established football club, one of the 3 clubs to have both founded the Football League (1888) and the English Premier League (1992). Their honours include 1 Premiership Title, 6 F.A Cups & 1 League Cup.
In 1912, Blackburn Rovers were the first team to become First Division champions and had won five of there six F.A Cups before the end of 1920. However, fortunes changed for Rovers as they were relegated in the 1966 season and spent the next 26 seasons outside of the First Division. Jack Walker (a life long fan), came to the rescue of Rovers though in 1991 when he heavily invested in the squad when he took over – it only took the following season to be promoted back into what was the new Premier League in 1992.
Following there promotion, after 3 years in the Premier League they went on to won the the title. It is thought that one of the main factors to the clubs revival at this time was the decision to appoint former Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish there as manager.
Throughout Rovers’ history the kit has basically stayed the same ever since 1905; the kit is made up of a shirt with two colours (blue & white) which are split across the shirt. One sleeve and one side of the shirt would be white, and the other blue. The shorts are white and the socks are a blue.
